Really great product if you have a puppy that eats too quickly or doesn't chew and ends up throwing up. My 6 month old GSD puppy had SERIOUS problems with his eating habits before I bought this product. He lightly inhaled his food bowl (without chewing) in less than 3 minutes as the owner was concerned he might get bloated - it really bothered me. I've tried hand feeding him single bites to get him crispy, giving him a few bites to eat and then making him wait 3-5 minutes between the next few bites, but that only seemed to help. He was getting hungrier, which led to faster swallowing. I tried to put a tennis ball in his old bowl to create an obstacle to eating, but he apparently just picked it up and tossed it beside him and continued to eat like an animal. Oh! Now that I have a Siensync Slow Feeder Bowl it takes my little buddy 10-15 minutes to prepare 3 meals a day. It also encourages him to chew as he has to get cereal, veggies, meat, and eggs out of every crevice. Full recommendation! About half a cup of granola can be placed in this bowl: a cracked raw egg and shell, some meat and chopped veggies stuffed into two spiral slots, leaving three spiral slots for feeding. If you only feed in pieces a whole cup will probably do, but my pup eats a bit raw.
