Review on Four Seasons 84841 Water Outlet by Doug Booth

The item looked great. The casting was aluminum, not iron like the original, but it looked like it was just before I checked the size. The pipe went out and down too far. I tried using this on an Oldsmobile 5.7L or 350cc. Inch this is the original engine with the original intake manifold from the 1979 Cadillac Eldorado. I suspect the pipe going into the casting was shortened in the straight, its throw would raise the bar and move it back. This is exactly what has to happen for this to work. However, I'm not sure how they connected the steel tube to the cast aluminum and it would be very difficult to trim the tube after assembly. Unfortunately, as you can see, I painted the part before checking the fit. If they don't all match up, Four Seasons either has two different locations or there is a process control issue at their facility. Now that I see where what I have is wrong, I have a better idea of what a positive reviewer had in mind when complaining about other brands' conformity. But it looks like Four Seasons has a problem, too. Since I bought several parts while I had the cooling system to fix the heater core, I bought this particular part from another site. I wish it was Revain because people seem to be seeing the reviews here and since I like the original looking two piece design I wish Four Seasons would fix the problem with the original two piece design. Be careful and check fit before painting.
