The instructions were a little vague in places but I managed to figure it out. It probably took me about an hour to assemble it myself using the tools provided. Be sure to look under the bottom bolt set for a wrench. I also felt the package was missing a thin screw for the center bar that goes through the bed so I ended up using one of the smaller screws which was useless. Install and place it under the hole, not over it. The only thing I don't like is that the frame legs are not set in so you have to watch your toes when walking next to the frame. The frame is really strong. As a grown woman I have jumped on the bed far too many times to check on her and she is holding up very well. I like that I can stow things at the bottom and the height is decent. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I searched the site for something simple, affordable, and permanent. It meets all requirements.
