Review on Acer Predator XN253Q Pbmiprzx 24.5" Monitor, 1920X1080 Resolution, 144Hz Refresh Rate, Built-In Speakers, HDMI by Steven Deiter

I have little opinion on the actual function of the display. Everything is set up, the display is excellent, there are no problems. But I got stuck on one thing that others have mentioned and I didn't realize it until I bought and installed my new monitor. For a $600 monitor, it has terrible speakers. I mean really terrible. My other monitors with 2w speakers sound great (very handy for a 2w monitor speaker to say the least), but these are just useless. At first I thought they had plastic shipping boxes but no, they are just awful. My son plays with headphones but I watch TV and EweTube and didn't expect to have to buy an external soundbar. But I did it. Now the speaker problem is solved, but there is less space on my desk because of the soundbar. I think I mentioned the speakers are terrible. I don't know if the 60Hz refresh rate is good even with G-sync, I'll have to wait for my son to try it. So in summary, great display, terrible speakers.
