I used to wear wristwatches with rather large dials and I had a lot of problems with the watch when working in the shop, in the yard or in the garden. The watch slipped off my wrist (the strap was either too tight or too loose) and I kept banging the face against anything I seemed to be working with. I was hesitant to wear an overlay watch on my "belt" but was pleasantly surprised at how it actually works. I usually wear sweatpants to work, so there's no belt. A simple solution is a simple safety pin (medium to large) attached to the thigh of my sweatpants. After a few weeks of wearing I found the watch to be much more comfortable than a wristwatch and much more secure than a watch on my wrist. Once you get used to it, checking the time is no more tedious than wearing a watch on your wrist. The watch is also very easy to take off when I come in at night or change my clothes. i am sold
