Only one remote can be connected to the collar, so this is a replacement remote, not a backup.
Works great but I was really hoping it could be used as a second remote. Instead, the collar only works individually. Now we only have one as a backup in case we lose the other. It would be nice to connect both at the same time so we can keep one at the back door and the other in front of the house.
