Review on πŸ”Œ ORICO Toolfree USB 3.0 to SATA External 3.5 Hard Drive Enclosure Case: For 3.5 SATA HDD and SSD, Supports UASP and 16TB Drives by Chris Pollreisz

You have to get past that. Bad design.

Come on Orico! Toolless doesn't mean you don't need to protect the drive! The hard drive literally pops into the slot and that's all it holds in place. Any bump and the drive slips out instantly. I hate that. To make matters worse, on/off is a button, not a switch. Thus, in the event of a power failure, it does not remember its previous state. If you use this as an add-on to your NAS, any power failure will NOT turn this item on until you press the power button again. It's cheap in every way and a very poorly thought out design.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Tradable
