Review on πŸ” Optimized Search: Sony ICFCDK50 Kitchen CD Clock Radio Under Cabinet by David Pullen

BEWARE OF BUYING USED

Purchased used through Revain at The Better Best for $170. The sound is good, as other reviewers have noted. The CD player behaves as it should during operation. Radio reception is fine as long as you keep it away from fluorescent lights. However, I strongly recommend that you think twice before buying this used one. My Sony arrived well packaged but the viewing window is covered in cobwebs making it unusable. You have to disassemble the device to clear the mesh. The CD player freezes intermittently and stops playing music. The seller company said "no remote control" and that's not a problem for me. However, be prepared to do some research to identify and find the correct mounting screws as these are not included. No mounting template was included, but I made my own; never mind. The bottom line when buying used: you get a flea market radio that contains absolutely nothing but a stripped-down base unit. For $170 I naively expected something a notch above what I got. ATTENTION BUYERS!
