So, real talk. This odd form factor is only useful for stabilized video and general media consumption. It's great to have navigation and music in the car at the same time. And people are definitely not used to seeing a phone flip on its side like the Wing does. Being cool and quirky is pretty much all the dual screen is good for though. Only LG's proprietary keyboard behaves properly in dual-screen mode, meaning you have to swipe back and forth when you want to use something else. Swiftkey is way ahead of LG's offering and to be honest it's the only issue I have with the device. Too bad, because LG really can't do it. However, since you're probably reading this, if the device costs $550 or less, it's a hell of a bargain. You can easily use this phone like a regular phone without the flip screen and you'll be fine. It's a bit thicker than other flagships for obvious reasons, but it doesn't sacrifice performance or battery life. However, be aware that the battery drains VERY quickly when both screens are on, especially in a bright car. My laptop is 10+. The Note performed slightly better in the dark, but otherwise they're pretty much the same. The gimbal-style camcorder features are super cool, but I haven't found a use for them yet. Parents filming their children's sporting events is the only use case I can think of, but I'm sure there are many more. Overall, this device performs very well for a $1,000 device, and now that it's cheap it's a great hit for a budget device that's still a very good everyday driver. The screen might be a trick, but it's cool, and since the phone isn't really compromised in the process, I don't see the second screen trick as a problem. I'm very happy with this phone and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good phone that's a bit different from the usual offering of glass top and foldable devices.
