I purchased this cable to mount my AT&T U-Verse DSL Router 50 remotely from a wall outlet. And it worked great! In fact, my speed is slightly faster than when using the original and shorter green cable that came with the router. The reason I needed this cable was because I wanted to install the router in the middle of my house and mount it on the ceiling. However, my wall outlet was 50 feet away from me. At first I tried to buy a regular 50ft phone cord but it didn't work because even though I could use it to connect to the router and my devices would see the router, I got internet connection errors. I later learned that this was because traditional phone cords are susceptible to interference from other electrical equipment when used over long distances. Ordinary phone cords do not have the proper shielding and wiring to isolate an Internet connection, making it immune to these interferences. But this cable is protected in every way, even when lying next to several other electrical cables such as power and Ethernet cables. Cables for my DirecTV and other devices. This cable has good wires, lots of shielding, and a thick plastic body. In fact, it looks more like a network cable than a phone line. It's very well done. So when I plugged in this cable instead of a phone line, all my devices started working right away! My firestick, phones, computer and tablets. Even my ring doorbell and ADT security cameras. And when I ran speed tests on my router, I found that this cable gives me faster speeds than the original short green cable. Good product! Highly recommended.
