Review on Piece Tegu Magnetic Wooden Block by Jason Hymon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Insecure block hacking in just two weeks.

Very disappointed with this product. It breaks my heart to write such a bad review for these blocks. We have a set of these Tegus from at least three years ago that both of my kids love so much. They play with it almost every day. They are so well made and we have never had any issues with them. We got our little one a new set for his birthday two weeks ago and they're already falling apart! The paint on one is peeling off, on the other the paint is literally cracking so badly that a magnet is revealed inside. I don't even feel safe letting him play with this new set. Such a shame as they loved the first set so much and were so excited to get the extra blocks to build with. I don't know what the difference is but they definitely seem cheaper than the originals we had a few years ago. which are still in perfect condition.

Pros
  • Tegu playfully supports child's development over time: Improves fine motor skills, pattern recognition, balance, sense of size, imaginative play, problem solving, storytelling.
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
