O-ring is similar to the original part of my Midea pressure cooker. I love the pressure cooker so I ordered an extra O-ring so I have an extra one as the original smells like the food that was cooked with it. It still seals well and I don't think it imparts odors to the food being cooked. However, I have decided to order an extra o-ring in case I prepare desserts in the slow cooker, it would be better to use a new and different o-ring. I have read that a ring that has been used more than once can affect the taste of cakes. It makes sense to get extra o-rings while I can get them, so I ordered a second extra o-ring just in case.
