Don't click the Add to Cart button until you read this review! This is an honest review based on my personal experience using the HyperX Alloy Origins Core keyboard for over two months. Don't get me wrong, this is a really good keyboard overall, but I think it's worth mentioning its pros and cons before you make your final decision and hit the Add to Cart button. This keyboard has many features; however, it also has several problems. The HyperX keyboard definitely has a lot going for it. It has a lot of features in my opinion and is definitely worth the price. First of all, the LEDs on this keyboard are really cool! They are individually controllable and make it easy to change lighting effects. And trust me when I say this, these lights are way better than you would expect. It's like having your own mini light show! Second, the more compact size of the Tenkeyless (TKL) fits nicely on my desk and gives me a lot more room to work. And that means less chaos! Oooh! I highly recommend this keyboard to anyone who loves the TKL style. Third, the tactile Aqua switches are also very nice. Also whether you want linear or tactile switches depends entirely on your personal preferences. However, the general rule of thumb I use is if you're going to print documents and use games tactile, and if you're only going to use it for games, go linear. Fourth, the all-aluminum body is stronger than most keyboards. Fifth, since HyperX frequently updates its software, it makes the latest new features available to the user. Sixth, if you're working with a non-mechanical keyboard, you'll have to get used to it because of the different response times. However, once you get used to it, you will find it difficult to switch back to a non-mechanical keyboard because of all the advantages that a mechanical keyboard brings. Basically, a mechanical keyboard is more pleasant to the touch and easier to use than other keyboards. Finally, the detachable USB connector is a great feature as it allows you to use dedicated USB cables for added aesthetics. Now for the cons of the HyperX keyboard. The first problem I found was that there wasn't enough internal memory for key trigger effects, but that has since been fixed. Second, the lack of dedicated multimedia keys took a lot of getting used to. In my opinion, this keyboard could be improved by adding multimedia keys. Finally, the NGenuity software sucks! Automatic software updates, in particular, sometimes remove features that you like and want to keep. So once you get used to a certain feature, NGenuity will remove it without warning. Basically, the software is a bit difficult to use, although it gets the job done. Bottom line, the software is definitely not perfect and could be a bit more intuitive. As you can see, there are far more pros than cons to the HyperX keyboard that should be considered before hitting the Add to Cart button. Overall the keyboard is very good and I will continue to use it as my main keyboard. For the price, it has everything to keep your desk clean and tidy with a nice compact design. If you're looking for a new keyboard I'd suggest taking a look at this one, but don't take my word for it, check out all the other reviews on the web. I hope you found this review helpful. This keyboard has many features; However, there are also some issues that you need to consider before clicking the Add to Cart button.
