I used this light for my winter morning runs last year and loved it. I "clipped" it to my left hip and pointed it backwards so you could see the bikes passing me along the trail (sometimes in the thick fog). It was heavy enough that I could tell it was there, but light enough that I didn't notice it as soon as I ran. In any case, this thing has two flaws, one small and one large. Minor downside: there are two sets of flash patterns and you have to cycle through them all to turn the device on and off. The main disadvantage: the batteries are not replaceable. I forgot to turn it off after one of my runs and now it's completely gone. You could probably replace the batteries if you have the patience for a little work on cheap electronics, but batteries are definitely not meant to be replaced. It's a pretty solid device in terms of security and I may buy it again, but this time I'll do it with the knowledge that it's disposable.
