My son loves these shoes. I usually buy cheaper summer shoes while my kids feet are still growing, but these are perfect for summer. These are lightweight, well-ventilated shoes that keep feet cool throughout the day. The mottled black and gray pattern is great for covering up dirt and dust that is inevitable when kids play outside. My son can't tie his laces at the moment and I'm glad I found a pair with Velcro closures that have held up well through the summer months. I bought a cheap pair from our local big box store last year and the insoles broke after a week or two. The insoles detached from the fabric lining and fell out of the shoe. I expected cheap shoes to wear down with heavy wear but was surprised it went so quickly. I haven't had any structural issues with this pair of shoes this year.
