For reference I bought this mouse on November 28, 2015 for $9.97. The current date from which I am writing this review is August 4th, 2017. The mouse is still intact and working just as well as when it was first purchased. You would expect a cheap mouse like this to break down after all this time, but it worked just fine. It helps a little that this mouse is heavier, the weight really helps. 2.65 oz isn't much, but I've used a thinner mouse than this. I have medium sized hands, maybe smaller, so take that piece with a grain of salt. When I bought it, it took me a while to get used to it. As with everything, it took me a while to figure out the mouse settings. The clicks were a little heavy, but that changed after a few weeks of use. The steering wheel is nice and smooth. It did not break during use, did not get caught on parts. The middle mouse button STILL works great. The click function still works, it doesn't take much effort to use it. Besides gaming, I surf the internet a lot. This mouse works very well in both cases. The DPI switch was initially a nice addition. Finding the right DPI for different scenarios and tasks - this mouse is a good start. Although as I've matured I've found that I don't need a very high DPI for most of my tasks, just to each their own. The circuitry and programming in the mouse is pretty good at saving battery life. If the mouse is not used for more than 10 minutes, it will go into sleep mode and save power. This eliminates the need to turn off the mouse every time you stop using it. It also makes it easier to transport. You can't wake up the mouse by moving it, but by clicking the mouse buttons a few times or turning the mouse wheel. Thus, simply mixing does not lead to unnecessary waste of energy. But if you still tend to turn the switch off again out of habit, to each his own. The DPI switch acts as a switch, of course, but also as an indicator. When the battery life is getting low or you need to look for a new battery, the DPI indicator will start flashing red intermittently. The mouse will still work when the light is flashing, but if the light stops flashing during use, the battery is dead. It runs on a simple AA battery that lasts a long time. With my use, each battery in this mouse lasts 2-3 months. I play in my free time, mind you. The sleep module works very well. That's probably one of the reasons it took so long. The thumb buttons and side buttons are not only comfortable but also easy to use. You cannot accidentally press the buttons to activate them, these buttons are not that sensitive. The fingerprint works very well. There is a relaxed position to hold my thumb for extended use. Speaking of comfort, if you've ever looked at your hand in a resting position (palm up), this mouse is very good at reassuring that position. It's not perfect, it's a medium sized mouse but with a very good outline. The USB port provides a very strong connection to the mouse. If you need to transport it instead of accidentally losing it, it fits nicely in the lightweight spring slot on the bottom of the mouse. This makes transportation very convenient. That's my only doubt and my only fault with this mouse: the shape. I won't lie, this mouse has a slightly odd shape. Human fingers are naturally of different lengths, in particular the middle finger is longer than the index finger. The picture doesn't lie; The right mouse button, which I usually use with my middle finger, is shorter than the left mouse button, which I use with my index finger. I had to put my mouse in a claw position (flex fingers into a more clicky position) to use this mouse as my middle finger kept sliding over the button. I still think the button should be longer, but that's my opinion too. All in all good job Tecknet. Edit: About a week after writing this review, I started having problems with my mouse. Double click, unregistered clicks, insufficient motion display, etc. FML. On the other hand, this mouse lasted 2 years.
