Sturdy Construction

This rain poncho is made of heavy rainproof material, not flimsy at all. It has kept me dry in the rain which is all I asked.

The first night of the backpacking trip I used it on the ground to set my tent on (heavy rain that night). The second day I wore it during the continued hike (over my pack). While hiking and stepping over a downed tree I inadvertently stepped onto the front of the poncho and stood up, ripping it down the front like paper. That was the end of the journey for the poncho. Not sure I would have wanted one that didn’t split when I did that or I would have done a pretty righteous face plant.
