I've had this steamer for half a year now. The more I use it the more I hate it because it releases steam from the rice through the hole in the lid. Everything around it is covered with a thin layer of wet rice water, which hardens and turns into a sticky layer of rice. I constantly wipe floors, walls and counters after each use. That annoys me a lot. After a cooking session, take a look at the top of the steamer and you'll see what I'm talking about. The lid looks like a mess. Also note that the steam function does not switch itself off (e.g. after 5 minutes). It goes on forever and I only got it after 40 minutes. By this time all the water had boiled away and the floor was scorched. However, I like the glass top and stainless steel interior.
