The Blendmount website led me to believe that I needed to purchase another, more specialized mount (model number: BMG-2032) for my Audi (mirror: Aud-008). I was hesitant to purchase this particular mount because reviews say it hangs too low and takes up too much space on the windshield when used with the MMI display. Not only that, it was $140. Yes. Instead I bought a universal mount (Escort Magnet series) and I'm glad I did. To get the best/tightest fit, my husband simply took the last link on the mount that holds the magnet and turned it upside down so it "hugged" the base of the mirror (see photo). Once he made that adjustment, we were able to easily mount the detector flush with the mirror, but personally I wanted to leave enough room to reach the mute button. I can adjust my mirror as usual and the mount never slipped or moved. It is difficult.
