We have an air mattress in case guests come and we need to improvise in space. An air mattress is great because it's comfortable, fits into any space, and doesn't need to take up a lot of space. I turned to this inflator for help inflating a mattress and inflating basketballs. It works, but it's not really for every job. In short, it's very slow and the battery doesn't have enough capacity to work. This is a battery operated manual inflation tool similar to a hand drill. The convenience is obvious and the potential is significant. Admittedly, inflating an air mattress isn't its optimal use, but it's one of the uses I need it for the most. Problems arise when trying to use this small device. It just doesn't move the air fast enough, and then the battery is a low-capacity power cell that dies before the job is done. I'm talking about a bunk air mattress, not a full sized one. It works better with basketballs, although I find using a hand pump is a bit quicker. I am disappointed with this device and would like to give it a higher rating. It doesn't run very fast, which is forgivable, but combined with the low battery capacity, that's more of an annoyance than a benefit in many cases.
