Review on 🏝️ Fiji Pink Arag-Alive Aquarium Sand by CaribSea by Lindsay Parker

I started my reef with Arag-Alive Special Grade but wanted something with finer grains especially after getting the sand sieve gobies as they looked like they were struggling to get really good become sips with a special mark. Fiji Pink turned out to be exactly what I wanted. Similar in size to sand on a beach, this material is nice and fine, but not so fine that it is easily kicked up or compacted like dusty/muddy materials. I am very happy with Fiji Pink and will now be using it in my reef tanks. It is important to note that all of my Arag-Alive products have fogged up my aquariums somewhat. In my small all-in-one aquarium, the veil of clouds has been clearing for ages. On my larger reef I used the flocculant/bio bag that came with the kit and it was cleaned the next day. The third time (with Fiji Pink) I added sand to an already established aquarium and was wary of using biomagnetic clarifiers in a fish and coral tank. I prewashed the sand to reduce the amount of haze, but it still fogged the tank pretty well that night. However, when I got home from work the next day the swamp/retreat had worked its magic and the water was crystal clear with no need for a clarifier.
