I installed this range hood about a month ago and absolutely love it. As another reviewer said, this thing is so powerful you can suck a turkey out of the oven and throw it in the yard (which won me over). The hood is quiet on settings 1, 2 and 3 and very reasonable on higher settings. It extracts both odors and smoke which gives my fire alarm a nice break. I had to make a few small changes to be able to use this hood. First, since there wasn't enough room in the cabinet above the stove for a range hood, I asked my contractor to build another "fake" cabinet. We then had to use a semi-rigid vent material instead of rigid because there was a gas line directly above my stove and we didn't have enough room to rotate the rigid duct. same problem) is that on low settings (1st and 2nd division) there is a constant buzzing noise.
