Like a filter is useless. Acceptable as a turtle toy
As a filter, it only allows 20% of the water it absorbs into the filter media. It flowed out of the filter sponge again in less than 8 hours. A busy few days before we had time to take it out and clean it, we found that the turtle had rearranged it (destroying the whisper filter we replaced). But she put it where she could stand in the super strong current and just sunbathe. It stays that way, but only take it if you want to flush the pool with a strong current.
