Review on 🍿 Superior Popcorn Company's Hot and Fresh Countertop Popcorn Machine – 3 Gallon Popper – 8oz Kettle: A Complete Review by Jennifer Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The perfect finishing touch to your home theater

This is a quality product. I've read some critical reviews about this popper but I have no complaints. It is heavy and arrived well packaged. It only took a few minutes to assemble and operate. I recommend cleaning the pot before installation. It took several batches to get it perfect. I also bought Flavanol, Dutchman's Buttery Coconut Oil, and an 8-pound jar of original Orville Redenbacher popcorn. The result was popcorn that tasted great and popped very quickly. But I have to tell you, the Orville Redenbacher brand was anything but desirable. While the great flavor was a function of the popper, butter, and flavanol, the popcorn itself was tough and chewy and not at all like theater corn. I've heard in the past that Revain foods can be very old, and I believe they are. I ordered some Pop Weaver Gold popcorn from another source to replace the Orville Redenbacher even though I still had a pile of popcorn left. If the results are the same, I will amend this review and remove Orville Redenbacher's opinion. Cleaning is fairly easy and straightforward. As others have said, watch your fingers because metal has sharp edges, but a damp paper towel and then a dry one is all you need. The spinster tray below is great for storing unopened beans in your bag. I have a few broken cores stuck between the glass and metal at the bottom, but a toothpick will easily take care of those crumbs.

Pros
  • FRESH POPCORN. The tabletop popcorn maker includes an 8-ounce stainless steel kettle that can make about 3 gallons of popcorn, a heated table to keep that delicious snack fresh, and a spinner drawer that collects waste. Cores for easy cleaning
Cons
  • There are problems
