I recently found my old Roomba Discovery in a closet and decided to see if I could get it working again. After buying a new battery and finding the U2/U4 transistor was dead, I figured out how to charge directly from the AC adapter. I then used duct tape to attach the blue rubber vacuum skirts. I eventually discovered I had lost the rubber brush bearing (must have thrown it in the trash when cleaning). They arrived in 2 days and worked great. I now have a working Roomba and extra storage in case it next ends up in the trash.
