I usually wait a few months before writing a review. And before I buy anything, I read as many reviews as I can, especially 1, 2, and 3 star reviews as long as they are well thought out (you can always get a lemon from any manufacturer). However, having used this drill/screwdriver non-stop for the last four weeks, I feel like I can give a decent opinion after this constant use. Just note that I'm not an expert when it comes to power tools. Anyway, in those four weeks I've reinforced the front door, the side door to the outside garage, the garage door that leads into the house, and my bedroom door. That means I screwed in long #10 x 3 screws to reinforce the hinges and strikers. I also added quick release door locks to each of my four doors, each with the same long #10 x 3 inch screws (three for each lock). BTW, these locks are great, but their bolts weren't long enough or of good quality. Obviously, at such an early stage, no one will know how reliable this drill/driver is. No one knows how long this drill/screwdriver will last, especially the weekend warrior, but I've had good luck with the light drill/screwdriver from the same company and have been using this $30 drill/screwdriver for almost a decade. .There are a few things I like about this drill driver. It is surprisingly light and well balanced in the hand. After I charged the lithium battery, it lasted four weeks with fairly heavy use and still has a charge. And driving 3" x #10 screws into the frame, studs and wood doors is no easy task, even with a pilot hole drilled (my 1/8" bit is only 1-1/2" in diameter ").long). I definitely couldn't do this with my light drill/driver without too much difficulty. Of course, getting the screws right (I prefer Torx) and cleaning them with a slightly damp bar of soap certainly helped. I was very surprised at how easily, smoothly and quickly these screws went in with no tension or kickback.Having a two speed drill/screwdriver is pretty standard but very useful. The 11 position clutch is good but it takes definitely takes some time to figure out which setting works best for each task.I also found the LED light very handy and it shines where it's really needed. No, this drill/screwdriver comes without a carrying case delivered. No, you don't get a set of bits or drills (I have both with my old drill/screwdriver, including a carrying case), but it does come with a reversible bit (Phillips/Spline). Yes, you will get a lithium battery and charger. My old light drill/driver uses a quick change hex chuck, which I really liked. I was able to insert a little and release quickly, which saved time. With this new drill driver, the drill chuck must be tightened by hand. But it doesn't matter as I bought a set of bits (mainly for torx head bits) and it came with a hex bit with a quick change adapter. Cost (it's a steal at the price point at the time of this review - $59). And if you're like me - a weekend warrior who works around the house as you please - I'd highly recommend this model. If you're a pro or do heavy work all the time, you should probably use professional gear. As for my rating, I give this drill/screwdriver 9 out of 10 or 5 stars. And at this price point, how can you go wrong (assuming it lasts a reasonable amount of time)?
