When my cat woke up one day with her eyes closed, I thought she had had an argument with another cat the night before and injured her eye. I decided to give it another day or two to heal. I preferred PetAlive Eye-Heal because it sounded like a product that I could easily use on my cat. My cat can be very picky at times and is very sensitive to smelly medicines and edible medicines in pill form. I figured it wouldn't be too difficult to put some solution on a cotton pad and wipe the cat's eye. And I was right. Although my cat smelled the product and immediately felt a whiff of the drug, she allowed me to apply it to her eyes twice a day. And she resisted me less over the next few rounds of treatment once she realized it improved her vision. After about two days, I immediately saw the benefits of the solution. And after about a week she almost completely recovered. My recommendation to potential buyers: remember that this is a natural remedy only. That said, there is no Rx and unknown to vets (and the product recommends that you contact your vet if there is no progress or the condition worsens). Until you have time to take your cat to the vet, this product is a great cleanser and will get rid of your cat's eye infection quickly (my vet told me to keep using it if it helps; it can't hurt). I would advise you to apply it to both eyes even if only one eye is infected as an infection in one eye can easily spread to the other healthy eye at a time when your cat's immune system is weak. It wouldn't hurt to socialize with your other healthy cats that live under the same roof. When your cat recovers, you save a trip to the vet and the medication is relatively cheap (Revain.com is the best price yet).
