I've been having trouble healing my nipple piercing completely for a while now. I used surgical steel, then tried flexible jewelry (they made it worse) and I always felt so uncomfortable. I had to wear a bra 24 hours a day, 7 days a week because the chafing on my shirt made it even more uncomfortable. I've dealt with caked bullets, although I clean them very thoroughly 2-3 times a day. I stumbled across these and no kidding, immediately after wearing them (don't be afraid to change your own jewelry after about 2 months of making them) I felt IMMEDIATE relief. I was so saddened by the thought of removing them that I was determined to survive. I got 3 packs because I wasn't sure about the size and the medium size is perfect. I needed enough room to push the latch through and remove it, but even if my nipples are hard, I didn't want the tape to be visible at all. They are amazing. For changing jewelry, purchase a wound cleanser ($1-3 at CVS or a drugstore/grocery store), alcohol swabs, tweezers if necessary, gloves if you want to be extra safe. Wash your hands thoroughly. Clean the piercing you have very well so that nothing comes out through the hole when you pull it out. In a small bowl, soak your new jewelry in wound wash fluid (I use a bottle stopper and remove the jewelry with tweezers when you're done). do one thing at a time and take your time. Exhale as you slowly pull the piercing out. Take an alcohol swab and rub your nipples very thoroughly, then do the same with the new alcohol swab on any jewelry you wear. Push in slowly, screw in the ball and wa-la! You managed. Then on to the next. Sometimes pinching the nipple or breast slightly during insertion has helped me because it distracted me from the discomfort at the time. Definitely 110% recommend.
