Our experience with Open PRO has been very positive. Initially we had many issues with the installation, but after contacting Salesforce Customer Service team I received a phone call within 2 hours. On average two engineers visit our offices per week. This enables us to provide ongoing training which gives us confidence when installing new functionality. The implementation and integration into existing systems were also excellent. One of our clients has already integrated a third party supplier with Open PRO providing real time visibility to its production line. Due to the flexibility built into the application it has allowed us to integrate further extensions easily. Overall the cost benefits are substantial making OpenPRO an ideal suite for SME’s looking to upgrade their manufacturing capabilities.
This program is very easy to learn. If you have any programming experience using VB6 then you should be fine. You start creating an inventory part number that goes into each location. Then add in each material needed to build the items. Once done editing you print out a purchase order form and send it off to the manufacturer. Very simple. It also connects with Microsoft Excel allowing you to compare quantities vs previous orders. As a non technical person myself this works perfectly for me. I'm glad to say that I'm now a proud owner of 3 printers.
