It's a good phone, but nothing special

To be honest I really don't know why we keep this landline number other than to try to give spammers a purpose so they don't block our phones. I like the feature that allows you to set up a call to automatically go to V-mail after the second ring. But I wish it was even better if it offered the ability to list up to 50 common phone numbers we know and then just send the rest to V-Mail without bothering us. Then we could check out a few regular V-mails (scammers don't usually leave V-mails) and discard anything we don't need, or eavesdrop on the few (VERY, VERY few) we do want to communicate with. I would happily pay up to a hundred dollars more for a phone that does this. Anyhow, the only services that can protect us from the incessant unwanted calls are the phone companies who are willing to charge us about $40 a year to protect us from some scammers while they support endless charities and allow politicians looking for money. (We donate to various groups, but then we seem to be bombarded with calls asking for more - most of them are no doubt worth it, but we're limited on funds.) The phone works well when we do use to make a phone call to someone; all speech is perfectly clear. The wireless system works flawlessly in our 4,000 square meter hotel. foot and even up to 50 feet outside.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
