Review on Hakko FX888D Soldering Iron with T18 B D24 Tip – Model 599 029 by Robert Berio

After years of using the "electronics store" versions of irons due to abnormal conditions and usage habits; I went ahead and bought a righteous station to meet my future electronics/soldering needs. The system is smaller than I expected (good for limited desktop space) but warms up quickly to intended settings. Was able to teach my son who is starting to get the idea to work with electronics and fun projects the process and principles to keep them alive for years to come. I'm amazed at how quickly the unit heats up and can't skip days of waiting 5 minutes for the iron to even start melting the solder. I was worried about getting a "clone" or "fake" but tweeted directly to Hakko, they gave me their support number to call and check my serial number which worked great. Official quality product and love for this device! I am completely satisfied with this iron and the control it gives me. Highly recommended for those who are just starting out and want to learn how to use a quality product as while you can use a lower quality product; The work will show in the end, and why not study and teach with one of the best? Wonderful!
