They are durable and can withstand rough treatment. I broke them pretty badly and managed to bend them back every time. The pads aren't straight anymore, but the bones in my hand are straight. I would buy them again and feel great. You may need to shorten the brake and clutch lever to install them. So make sure you can live without the 1/2 inch lever. Factory levers usually have a ball on the ends. and it should go away. You don't want your levers catching on the guards while riding. All hardware is included and they fit either 1 1/8 bars or 7/8 bars with the spacers provided. You will need to cut the handlebar completely to fit the bar end insert into the handlebar. If you have already smashed the handlebars, you must ensure that the bar ends are fully rounded if dented too badly.
