That's a bit pricey for a turn signal relay. However, the convenience of flicking the turn signal switch and blinking 4 times to change lanes is a good thing. I have this function on our Mercedes and Lexus from the factory. It's one of those things you get used to when you switch cars, while not forgetting the ease. Installation was very easy except you removed the stupid clip that is on the standard Toyota relay holder. I spent 5 minutes trying to get the stock relay out without breaking the clip holding it in place. I was successful. lol Disconnect the wire harness and connect a new relay. Completely plug and play. Note that I am using regular turn signal bulbs. I may switch to LEDs one day if I can find a good kit. Let's see. Anyway, I like the default 4 flashes for the tap rotation feature. Our Mercedes is 3 and I like 4 better. I changed it from the default to 4 on our Lexus. It's just more visible to people. By default, the hazard warning lights flash "strobe" when turned on. I didn't like this feature at all. So I reprogrammed the relay (according to the instructions and very easy to do) to the default blink rate. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if the turn signals were LED, but until then I'll be fine with the stock speed.
