Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Ultimate Insulated Food Jar: Hydro Flask's Leak Proof Cap Ensures Freshness by Seth Bushey

Doesn't retain heat as well as others

I like Hydro Flask bottles but they're not my favorite. I think they have some of the nicest bottles on the market and they usually work well, but after trying about half a dozen of these I found other bottles that are more convenient to use, look and work almost as well. just as. It makes sense that Hydro Flask would expand its product line to include other containers like food cans. S'well did the same but with not very good results. In my opinion. I think the Hydro Flask food can works better overall, but its heat retention performance isn't the best. PROS: - Looks great - Well made - Easy to use, leak proof lid CONS: - Average heat retention performance The look of an insulated Hydro Flask food can. The Power Coat looks great with a strip of exposed stainless steel at the top and a matching lid. The lid can be easily unscrewed and closed again. It also prevents leaks very well. Unfortunately, my heat retention test showed it's not the best at keeping hot liquids warm over time. Using an electric kettle, I heated some water to 75ยฐF and poured 4 ounces of it into a hydro flask and thermos. I've had a jar of food for years. I waited 4 hours and measured the temperature of the water in both glasses. The water temperature in the hydro bottle dropped to around 30 ยฐC and in the thermos to around 40 ยฐC. It might not have been the most scientific test, given that I didn't repeat it multiple times, didn't try different temperatures, didn't check temperatures at different intervals, and didn't eat solid foods, but it was convincing enough for me. I love Hydro Flask. Food jar and definitely plan on using it but with the expectation that its heat retention abilities won't necessarily be as good as some of my other food jars. However, if I had to go out and buy a new can, it probably wouldn't be Hydro Flask.
