I was really excited when my new full face mask and snorkel arrived today (X/lg) so I grabbed my fins and dog and headed to the lake! certified diver and also enjoy swimming in freshwater lakes with my dog. I have over 30 years of swim/snorkel experience in various waters around the world. First I checked the buoyancy! It won't float if you drop it or take it off your face, so don't drop it in water! I then took the time to adjust the straps on my head and adjusted the straps every few minutes to try to get a nice snug fit that wouldn't cause the mask to leak. I couldn't get it to leak. The tube is too complex and does not work well. I really have to work to suck air. A normal hose makes it easier to breathe. Pros: Looks cool, similar to a space helmet. Cons: Constant leaks around seals. Always require you to force the water out. It also fogs up almost instantly, making it very difficult to see anything! Apart from the fog the vision through the mask is very distorted, together with the fog this mask is totally useless to look for anything you may have dropped in the water. It's hard to breathe through the hose. You actually have to work on getting air. Much more than a normal tube. I love the idea of a fog-free, leak-proof, full-face mask with an integrated snorkel, but it's not! It flows heavily, fogs up quickly, distorts vision, and is difficult to breathe. I do not recommend this product and find it more of a hazard to diving than it helps! Avoid this product!
