I bought these after accidentally buying huge Tomahawk steaks that I needed to pack for the freezer. They work well when frozen. The only problem we have is that they leak when we thaw or marinate the meat. This may be due to the weight of the meat, or they may not be designed to hold things with liquid. We didn't use them as shared storage. So if you happen to buy Tomahawk steaks that have 18-inch long bones attached, they're better than a freeze-thaw garbage bag. Chances are you only use two.
