Review on Camecho Wireless Waterproof Assistance Trailers by Kevin Taharka

Great camera for the price

Probably a two or three star product but at a five star price. I believe you get what you pay for. For what I paid this is great quality and it works. 30 feet is the maximum distance between two transmitters. It works at 30 feet, but not all the time, and it has a lot of static. I hooked up extensions to mount the transmitter to the front of the trailer and it helped a lot. I have a 21ft Toy Hauler trailer. I connected the camera's power to my rear running lights so that it turns on when the trailer is connected to the truck and my truck's lights are on. I wanted to use this camera to see behind me while driving, not just for reversing. I really like being able to see behind the trailer at all times. The horizontal field of view isn't as great as I'd like, so I had to position the camera to look further behind my trailer so I could get a better view of the cars behind me. It's harder to tell when the pendant is really close to something since it's below the field of view. But I'd rather see further behind me, so that's not a problem. The vertical range is very wide and good. Night vision works very well and the camera does not emit any light. I was concerned that the camera had LEDs that would light up and shine on the cars behind me, but this is the intended camera and it doesn't emit any light. This may be obvious to you, but I was concerned nonetheless. Everything works fine for me.

Pros
  • 7 inch monitor with 2ch video input; V1 V2 selectable, PAL or NTSC optional. The monitor turns on automatically and switches to the rear view camera when reversing. The monitor can be installed on the roof or on the dashboard according to your needs.
Cons
  • Out of style
