Suitable for long thick hair, but not ideal.
I used to use the Goody Large Octopus but mine eventually broke and they must have replaced it online because the ones I ordered came back smaller. I have long thick hair and I'm 1 year old so I need to get my hair out of my face fast. I was always looking for a replacement clip and read hundreds of reviews before deciding to try them. You work decently. I liked the octopus clips because they were wider and I felt like I could hold more hair. Any hair I can get into these clips stays, but usually the same strands of hair keep slipping out. They're comfortable and durable, so they get the job done.
