I've been using this with my two cats for years. The vet recommended it to me after my cat had a urinary tract infection and several accidents in my rented apartment. Wipe and vacuum up any excess stains on the carpet or floor, then spray and dampen, leave for a few minutes, wipe, blot away excess cleaner and allow to dry. This has a wonderful scent. Safe to use around pets! Made with enzymes that break down odors and stain stains. Also keeps cats from re-contaminating the scene if cleaned well. I use this in combination with a UV black light flashlight and safety goggles to deep clean, really does a wonderful job! I also wash and soak dirty pet bedding in it, pouring about half a cup or a cup into a full load of cat bedding or pillows to keep them smelling fresh. I just wash them the first time with detergent and hot water and then run them a second time with my regular unscented detergent. I also wipe down and clean their carriers/kennels which is helpful if they have an accident while being transported to the vet for an exam. I can also lightly mop up any vomit that comes up from time to time, wipe away excess dirt, then spray the cleaner, soak and wipe until completely dry. I keep this on hand in a simple spray bottle to use when needed. Highly recommended! Rescuer! My house smells fresh with two cats, not like a zoo!
