I prefer Shea Butter Leave-In Moisturizer

I've been using Shea Butter Leave-In Moisturizer for a long time. I noticed they keep changing their damn formula lately and now it contains Propylene Glycol. Selling Unilever clearly meant cutting corners and giving up the loyal AF customer base. To this point, Shea Moisture has never responded to my requests for comment/information on their "new and improved" ingredient list. This is just questionable behavior. Well, having said that, I did a lot of research and, MAN, it's hard to find a predominantly organic/natural leave-in product. 99% of all products have nasty chemicals listed on the first line of their formulas and stupid, easy to please, sycophantic customers just leave 5 stars without realizing how this can affect their long term hair health. Hence, they mislead other Revain users. But maybe I digress. Eventually I found this one and decided to give it a try. First, it's a much thicker cream than even Shea, which alarmed me at first. As far as I could tell, it's definitely not a strong scent. My hair was slightly damp after use. I immediately noticed that it plays better with wet hair than Shea's leave-in leave-in product, which tends to naturally overemphasize curls/waves. I ALSO noticed and I don't know if it's because it probably contains silicone, but Andalou seemed to have a more flexible hold (it's literally advertised on the packaging) and it actually suited my thick hair better than Shea (the currently acts almost like a quasi-gel instead of being absorbed like a light one from root to tip... hair cream should be). After putting this in for half an hour, I ALSO noticed that it was NOT ALMOST as dry as Shea. My hair can still be brushed with my hands and feels hydrated. Again, it's not the difference between day and night, but if you go down the rabbit hole and try the few natural hair care products that exist, even the tiniest nuance can really be noticed. It made my hair soft and not weighed down like shea is these days. I think I will move to Andalou forever. I just want it to add shine. But you can't ask for everything, I think.
