If you're looking for a premium general aviation headset, the Lightspeed Zulu 3 deserves your attention. The performance of this headset is excellent, and the company backs the product with warranty, customer support, repair, replacement of wearing parts (at cost) and more. The only other headset on the same level is the Bose and they are even more expensive. Features Bluetooth connectivity and an optional wired connection so you can use your phone or listen to music, with options to prioritize incoming calls or headset activity. The ANR noise reduction is impressive in its effectiveness. Microphone offset/gain is adjustable. The ear pads are quite large, soft, comfortable, excellent quality materials. Interchangeable upper headband pads for different head sizes or cockpit clearance issues. The volume control/controller is well made, works well and is well designed. It even has the option to dim the LED lights for nighttime use. The Zulu 3 is fun in every way and makes flying – even in a noisy general aviation aircraft – a pleasure. The only downside to this quality is the price. Honestly, the price shouldn't be that high, but it's hard to argue with how well it performs.
