Review on πŸ”Œ Arteck HB030B Slim Portable Wireless Bluetooth 3.0 Backlit Keyboard with Rechargeable Battery, Black - Universal 7-Colors by Nick Mcvey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great, great customer service, just a few cons

Pro's - $20 - Super light and thickest, probably about 2 1/2 - 3 quarters deep - I personally use this for my Asus netbook with Windows 10 and my iPhone 5S just for testing. (The iPhone's ease of use was really handy as I'm using this keyboard right now to write my product review on my phone. - Nice choice of keyboard colors - The battery seems to be holding the charger really well, although I can't say how long time, but I can say I used it sparingly for about 5-6 hours in one session on a strategy game, so it should be good for pretty much whatever you need to do until you're done with what you're doing do Neutral The instructions that came with it were actually better than most products I've seen with devices like this in the past, but as always I wish there was more information on how to troubleshoot connectivity issues, the only indicator of how much battery is left is when the blue battery light keeps blinking letting you know it's about to die.I want that when it's connected to my windows 10 device it gave you the exact percentage I've seen on similar products.- The backlight is great but to save power it turns the light off after 10-15 seconds when not in use. This is a bit awkward for me as I sometimes enjoy playing an old strategy computer game called "Stronghold Crusaders". The mouse is mainly used, but the arrow keys are needed to scroll through the game map. So you see how annoying this can be. I don't see anywhere in the instructions if there is a setting to change this feature. **Updated message about ESC key** - The manufacturer informed me right after writing this review that pressing "Fn + E" keys after pairing the device will solve this issue. I did as directed and it solved my ESC key issue listed below. This is also indicated in the instructions. User error on my part. **Problem solved** - I haven't really checked the ESC key in other programs, but I found that during gameplay, if I just press the ESC key, the game minimizes and also loads the Internet Explorer window becomes. I have to press Fn + ESC to get the menu options I want in game without closing it. - Finally, this might just be an accident with the design of this keyboard I received, but I found that I have to press the "L" key a bit harder compared to all the other keys. **Upgraded to 5/5 because I respect a company that resolves user issues quickly even when I haven't complained to them. My list of cons, aside from the ESC key issue, still stands. I'm only giving this 4/5 because of the small flaws I've listed. Otherwise it works great. I just hope it lasts a long time but for $20 if it lasts a year I'll still be happy and recommend it. Photos are included with the backlight on and are sized compared to my Asus netbook.
