I have used many claw clips over the years and none would hold my hair without first securing it in a pony. My hair is long but very thin so I just gave up after a while. I recently decided to give it another try, I bought these on a whim and they are the best claw clips for those of us with fine fine hair but if you have short hair they will be too big.
