Review on Enhance Your Cycling Experience with the Topeak Explorer Rack by Walter Velasquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If it fits, it sits under a spring clip!

This luggage rack is fantastic and I am surprised that the manufacturer's description and photos do not do the product justice. I hope this review and the photos I've posted will help draw more attention to some great features. I installed it on my Marin Lombard with no problems. There is plenty of room for disc brakes and wheel circumference. The BEST thing about this rack is the spring feature. I recommend looking at the pictures to really understand how it works. You can raise the spring bars and "clamp" items between the braces and the main shelf platform. Hat, windcheater, box. anything. If it fits, it fits - no bungee needed! Of course, the rack is compatible with all Topeak "MTX" products (I have a Topeak MTX DXP carry case with hard shells), but if you don't need a whole carry case, this rack fits small loose items perfectly without it. The kit contains all the parts necessary for mounting on the bike: screws, washers, lock nuts and a pair of brackets for different versions of brake lights or reflectors. This frame is only a few dollars more expensive than the non-spring version, but it's more functional and worth the money!
