I have ordered this and several other USB 3.1 GEN 2 (10Gb/s) enclosures. This one didn't connect at those speeds, I got about 60MB/s with the SSD drive. With another ELUTENG drive, it connects to 10GB, I get 200MB/s++. I've included an image that even on my MacBook, the top speed is 5Gbps, which is actually the speed of Gen 1 USB 3.0. Connection issues aside, it feels really cheap. The logic board is not connected to the case in any way. So if you were to use a custom form factor drive, I bet it wouldn't even hold it. The body snaps into place, and once it's difficult to take apart. I was afraid I would break it if I wanted to return it. The only plus is that it comes with a very good 10 Gigabit Gen2 cable which was a nice touch. Also, it was very cheap, pay a little more and get double the speed. I have returned the item.
