I'm torn about my star rating. I mean that I like it or even like it. The idea seems great. First of all I'm just a craftsman and have never made a shelf like this which is why I bought it. I can't say I have many projects at home, so I study when I can. About the assembly: I decided on a 6 foot wide shelf. During assembly, I kept finding myself noticing that some of the holes provided weren't where I could put the screws squarely in the center of the stud on the shelf studs. And also the leg holes, well, they're a bit bigger than the studs. I think they should be exactly the same as I think this will make the last shelf sturdier. I assume it is necessary to put the legs in. My last self was 41 inches tall when it went into a small barn. It looked very nice, but it was swaying or swaying from the side. I could probably use it as is. but I went to HD and bought some metal straps (4) which I put on my back. I really think this is a must have and for under $5. After that it was really solid. You can see in my photo I put a lot of stuff on it. The heaviest on the bottom shelf. In my opinion completion. I like how it turned out, but if I do it again I'll just make everything from scratch. You have some great videos available for me to make these "garage shelves" and I think the result will be more durable as the connections will be tighter if that makes sense. even more so for footer 8. But I think a shelf that wide (made of wood) would probably do the same thing, which is why I didn't deduct from this review. I think a spacer in the middle would be ideal. However, I slipped a piece of treated wood under the middle of the bottom shelf for extra support. So I've had positive experiences with this product, but I think I could have done the same without the product. I don't think there will be that much of a time difference. On the other hand, if you used all the screws, if you ever moved, it would probably be easier for you to take this apart and take it with you. And you get "plans for what to do next," so to speak, rather than making up your own.
