If your projector's mounting screw holes are close together (e.g. less than 6 inches), it will be very difficult to mount to the projector as the brackets have to bridge a negative distance from the screen of the limit, to which the arms are attached. The instructions also state that the mount is only suitable for "cement" and "bolt" mounts. However, very few of us have "cement" ceilings unless they mean drywall and not cement. As for "studs" attachment, the studs are usually 2" x 4" and 2" is usually the side where the drywall attaches. Also, the distance between them is usually 16 inches. The wall mount holes are over four inches apart but less than 16 inches apart so you can only attach a maximum of 2 of the 4 stud mounts.
