This is a great alternative to using toilet paper. Pros: - Adjustable water temperature - Adjustable heated seat - Remote control - Great comfort - Protects your back from tough toilet paper - Fairly easy to install Cons: - Easy to learn how to use - Air dryer is almost useless - Use is time consuming - May require some curve training for the installation. My wife and I needed an alternative to toilet paper for a number of reasons: a major toilet paper shortage in 2020 and health concerns. This is our first experience with a bidet, so I can't compare it to other options, but I can tell you about this particular model. We have a kit with a remote control and drying (there are options without these functions, which you can get discouraged). The board is a must. You can mount it in a convenient spot and this seat has enough buttons so you don't want to fiddle with buttons right and back while sitting on the throne. The position of the nozzle is adjustable, but you also need to move around a bit for it to be effective. The water temperature options are great so you don't have to splash cold water on the floor (especially in winter). A hair dryer is like trying to dry yourself after a shower with a cheap hair dryer so you have a chance to dry off. To do this, you can use a washcloth, towel or several cloth napkins. After drying, the dehumidifier can be turned off, so the drying option isn't entirely useless - almost everything except. The biggest downside is that you sit around an additional 2-4 minutes compared to using toilet paper. Installation wasn't difficult for me. If you've ever changed a toilet seat and the inside of a toilet tank, it's about as difficult. The facilities are easy to follow, so if this is your first time fiddling with toilet parts it's easy enough, any minimal effort to follow the instructions will get the job done. All you need is an electrical outlet a reasonable distance from the seat, or you need to install one. I didn't have one, but I was able to run power from a nearby junction box and install an outlet. If you don't know how to do this, an electrician should do it for you at a reasonable price. Normal sized toilets must be suitable for this seat. Just make sure your toilet fits the dimensions given in the description. (There are very large oblong toilets and very small round toilets, so measure twice and order once. You won't always be able to easily switch toilets and still comply with local building codes.)
