Does not work right out of the box. Upon inspection, it became clear that the problem was poor wiring. The electrical connections (fortunately few) were not connected properly. I took out a soldering iron and soldered all the wires in place. I've used it 3 times and it works fine now. I expect this will be a useful tool in the future. It only took me about 15 minutes to find the problem with the tool and do the soldering, but for someone who may not have power tools and repair skills this would be a hassle. So the tool is fine, but the quality control is poor.
