I have another set of the same silicone coasters that I use all the time. They're great for a lot of things besides "hot pads". One of my favorite things I use them for is keeping my chopping board from shifting around the countertop when I'm using it. (Sometimes 2 pads are needed for a large board). I also use one to protect the non-stick fryer drawer/bucket from scratching the floor when I place it on the cooker's cast iron grid to turn food. I always take them for something and find them extremely useful. I sometimes use them in my enameled cast iron sink to protect the enamel when my pot or something like a fry basket. I'm taking off one star because the silicone on the other set is thicker, giving them better protection. than this smithcraft against high temperature. Here is a link to them: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083Y52X16/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 However, I would be wary of using silicone coasters like these on wooden tables or delicate surface because they have open areas through which heat can penetrate. You can stack all three and this will raise the hot pan off your surface even further but for added protection. They are not as thick as others but they are good and I recommend them. You will be surprised how useful silicone coasters can be in the kitchen.
